Competitions

Regardless of your age, becoming county champion is seen as a significant achievement – something to be proud of. Berkshire Squash has a strong tradition of running competitive competitions, at all age groups, over many decades.

Over the years, we have seen some talented juniors progress to become champions as adults and some have even achieved success at national level, with a few becoming world class professionals.

Many of our top county players have also represented Berkshire at England Squash’s prestigious Intercounty championships, where we have also achieved many successes over the years.

Our doubles event is competitive, but fun too. Over the years Andy Lewis has achieved an incredible record, winning the event 9 times with 3 different partners, from 1990/91 to 2000/01. Nearly as successful is Paul Johnson, winning the event 8 times again with 3 different partners. When these two played together for 3 years from 1997/98 they were unplayable.
