Caversham Park Village Association faces threat of closure

Sadly, the Caversham Park Village Association (CPVA), a charity founded in 1965 to enhance community life and provide essential amenities, has run into serious financial difficulties.

Despite more than 50 years of service, the Association is now battling for survival and consequently the vital facilities it provides to residents – both sporting and social – are in jeopardy. Included in this now at-risk category is Caversham Park Village Squash, a long-established club with an impressive reputation across Berkshire despite its relatively modest surroundings. Its demise would be highly regrettable with more squash clubs needed not less.

The CPVA Trustees have embarked upon a series of fund-raising initiatives which while having genuine potential to increase the charity’s income streams, will not come to fruition in the short-term. Meanwhile, however, a crowdfunding campaign – see link below – has been launched and it is our sincere hope that the squash community will rally round to help save the day.

Every contribution, no matter how small, will be much appreciated.

Thank you for your support.
